Fongo M/A Junior High School has one of it’s plights met as the NPP Parlimentary Candidate for Wa Central, Hajia Humu Awudu (Yelimaana) donated twenty dual desk furniture to the school to mitigate the shortage of furniture in the school.
Speaking during the short ceremony as audience waited eagerly for a usual political talk, Hajia Humu rather seized the opportunity to throw a word of caution to the pupils. She advised them to study hard and become responsible citizens so they can impact positively on society. The Wa Central Parliamentary hopeful further challenged the female pupils to aspire to greater height ” you need to take your studies very seriously so you can even achieve more than I have done” she said.
Another challenge that came up in the brief engagement with school was the lack of water, Hajia Humu however promised to address this challenge by drilling a borehole for the school.
On his part, the Headteacher of the school, Mr. Issah Nanzo was thankful to Hajia Humu for the kind gesture extended to the school, describing her intervention as timely. He also prayed that the promise to drill a borehole be fulfilled soon.
The PTA Chairman of the school, Alhaji Nuhu Mahama equally expressed appreciation to the parliamentary candidate on behalf of PTA and wished her well in her political pursuit. Mr Nuhu cautioned the pupils to use and maintain the furniture well ” so it can serve the intended purpose”.
