A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has called on constituents of Wa Central to see Hajia Humu Awudu as the best candidate for parliament who can bring the needed development to the constituency.

Speaking at the official campaign launch of the Wa central Constituency Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP, Hajia Humu Awudu, at the Naa Sidiki Bomi Park, Gabby Otchere-Darko urged the constituents to vote massively for Hajia Humu if they really want to see change in the area.

“In Humu, you have the best candidate. She is not going to parliament to drink tea and meatpie, she is not going to parliament to speak big English. She is going to parliament to make sure that what is due Wa central is brought. She is not yet there but you can see it for yourself”, Lawyer Otchere-Darko said.

He further indicated that, the current member of parliament who has been in parliament for sixteen years has no transformation that is ingenious to the benefit of his people, but could only advise the youth to go pick stones for sale. “That is what you have in your current MP”. According to Gabby, Hajia Humu Awudu knows what the women and youth want, adding that, “she is yet to go to parliament but she is working hard to provide what the people of Wa central needs”.

Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Candidate, during the campaign launch, donated tricycles, sewing machines, hairdryers, weaving machines, barbaring clips, refrigerators and other equipment to individuals and groups working in the constituency.

Nma Amina Pelpuo, Habibata Hussein and Nma Madiama lead the beneficiaries to sing songs of praises to the parliamentary candidate of the Wa central and call on women to vote massively, adding that they have not benefited for over the 16 years they have been voting but now they have benefited greatly even before they will go to the polls to vote.

On his part, the Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party S.B Kangbere said the magnitude of the crowd is an indication of victory for the party in Wa Central. He noted that, the NDC 16 year long reign will end with Hajia Humu Awudu.
