Also known on stage as King Raph, the celebrated artiste in the Upper West Region noted that it was important to give back to society even when you do not have plenty. “We don’t need to wait and become rich before we can support a good course like what you (W93.5FM) are doing. So I being an artiste, I feel like, even if I don’t have much but I can support learning zone with the little fame I have in region.”, he said.
The four times Upper West Artiste of the Year winner lauded W93.5Fm for the initiative and encouraged them to continue with the good works it has been doing towards building the capacity of basic school learners across the length and breadth of the region.
“I believe learning zone is one of the developmental programmes that we need to support.” He stated, adding that W93.5FM should not relent on its efforts in advancing the development of the region. “Learning Zone has come to stay and can help build our kids up. So that’s the reason I feel like also being part of it and I will give my support anytime I have the opportunity,” the Lilaafi hit maker declared.
The Learning Zone Quiz
The Learning Zone Quiz is one of the many programmes run by W93.5Fm in a bid to improve standards of education among children in the Upper West region. The quiz comes every year after several weeks of learning with the kids on the Learning Zone programme.
This year’s quiz final, scheduled for Saturday, 24th October, 2020, is the 7th Season of the competition, and will be handled by quizmaster Felix Korley (Nana Cash). After several weeks of exciting engagements and evictions, the finalists set to battle for the coveted trophy of the Learning Zone Quiz 2020 include Our Home International JHS, St. Cecelia Catholic JHS and NJA Demonstration JHS. The event will take place at the premises of W93.5FM and will be carried live on radio.
The champions of the 2019 edition, St. Paul Methodist JHS, failed to make it for the finals this year to defend the title. NJA Demonstration JHS comes into the finals as underdogs with many predicting the grand finale to be between Our Home International JHS (1st runners-up 2019 LZQ) and St. Cecilia Catholic JHS (2nd runners-up, 2019 LZQ). NJA Demonstration has however sent a strong signal that they cannot be underrated as they eliminated last year’s champions, St. Paul Methodist JHS, enroute to the final.
